Overview

This rooftop restaurant at Dar Marjana is built around a wood fire and seasonal plates meant for sharing. The setting has a vintage feel, with flea market furniture in a mix of styles. Bouquets of flowers are everywhere, and the tableware is colourful and delicate. The cooking sits between North Africa and the Mediterranean. Produce comes from local growers and meets flavours and techniques borrowed from around the world. Two dishes give the idea: egg cream with harissa, and a panna cotta made with cactus. There is a wine list. The chef is Richard McCormick, born in Sweden and raised across Southeast Asia, who was behind Helsinki places such as The Cock and Shanghai Cowboy before making Marrakech his home.
