Overview
Two terraces sit right above Jemaa el-Fna, in the Medina, set with garden chairs and parasols; at golden hour the square turns gold below them. The restaurant itself is small. Yann Dobry modelled the interiors on the square and packed the rooms on purpose: murals painted by hand, pastel lamps made for the place alone. Even the cushions are embroidered, by Ourika The Label. The cooking is Mediterranean and Moroccan, with mezze to share. Feta cigars arrive with smoked honey, and the beetroot and feta carpaccio is a house staple. Tanjia Marrakchia is beef cooked for seven hours; eggplant comes off a lava stone grill with tahini yogurt and pomegranate. The bar has its own signature drinks and a house mocktail. Cards turn up on the tables too, a recurring motif of the place.
