Nobu Rooftop Garden

Overview

The Rooftop Garden sits on top of Nobu Hotel Marrakech in Hivernage, and it is a different proposition from the Nobu restaurant downstairs. Up here the setting is an open-air terrace with a 360-degree view over the Red City and the Atlas Mountains, built around a circular pool open all year and ringed by cabanas, a sun-drenched deck and chic dining and lounge areas. The day starts at the pool, open from 10am to 7pm, while the bar runs from 10am until 1am. The restaurant serves Mediterranean and Moroccan-inspired cooking from noon until 1am, and the Sushi Bar, open from noon to 6pm, prepares cold dishes, nigiri, sashimi and maki with the freshest seafood from the region. Signature Nobu cocktails are half the point, especially at sunset, when the light softens over the city. In the evening, curated DJ sets by local and international artists take over and the terrace tilts from poolside calm toward a rooftop party. The dress code is elegant casual, with no shorts, and payment is accepted in dirhams only. Few rooftops in Marrakech combine a restaurant, a pool and a nightlife programme on the same terrace, and this one has the scale and polish to carry it.
