Overview
Villa Aaron occupies a family house built in 1936, once belonging to the Amzallagh family, near the Kasbah and a short walk from Jemaa el-Fna. The Amazoz Group restored the property, keeping its original layout intact. Interior designer Michèle-Rose shaped the space around the house's original character, with mosaics, greenery and a vintage-style bar at its centre. The result is a two-storey villa that still feels like the family home it once was. In the kitchen, Spanish chef Luisma Naranjo cooks a Mediterranean-Moroccan menu designed around sharing: slow-cooked mechoui cannelloni, raviolis with chakchouka, and subtly spiced pastrami are among the dishes on a seasonal card. Desserts include a rice pudding with Madagascar vanilla, honeycomb caramel and fresh mango. The bar holds its own, with signature cocktails, mocktails and a wine selection. The mood shifts as the day moves. At midday, sunlight floods the rooms and conversations stretch; some evenings bring live music, a double bass, a singer, or a DJ. The whole venue can be privatized for events, and private parking, rare for this part of the city, removes one more reason to hesitate.
